Bush or Shrub Removal

We removed the Rose bushes and a Tree at the deck's side.

Bush or Shrub Removal

First, we must discuss the difference of a bush and a shrub.

A bush is a woody plant with many branches, and it may or may not have a dominant stem. Branches cluster out low on the woody plant instead of a stem or trunk. A bush is one (1) foot tall and it has not grown over ten (10) feet tall.

A shrub is a woody plant with many stems (permanent branches), and it does not have a dominant stem. The stems cluster from the lower area or at the ground. A shrub may be any height taller than one(1) foot and less than six (6) feet tall.

Any woody plant less than one (1) foot tall is called a groundcover.

A woody plant over ten (10) feet tall is a tree; no argument allowed. A tree must also have a dominant stem or trunk. Multiple stems or trunks are referred to as co-dominant stems or trunks.

Most Bush or Shrub Removals are needed to recover lost area to poorly planned landscaping. The Rose bushes and the tree engulfed the backyard area. The tree placed along the deck loomed onto the deck's railing and it limited the deck's view.
